- Dill Seeds Timing:
- Dill is an annual herb, and it’s best to sow the seeds directly in the garden or in containers where they will grow. The ideal time to plant dill seeds is in the spring after the last frost date when the soil has warmed up.
- Soil Preparation:
- Dill prefers well-draining soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH. Amend the soil with compost to improve its fertility.
- Planting:
- Plant the seeds directly in the soil or in containers. Sow the seeds about 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep. Space the seeds about 12 to 18 inches apart. If you’re planting in rows, leave around 18 inches between rows.
- Watering:
- Keep the soil consistently moist until the seeds germinate. Dill seeds usually germinate within 7 to 14 days.
- Sunlight:
- Dill thrives in full sunlight. Ensure that the plants receive at least 6 to 8 hours of sunlight per day.
- Thinning:
- Once the dill seedlings are a few inches tall, thin them out to provide adequate space for the remaining plants to grow. Space the plants 12 to 18 inches apart.
- Care:
- Dill doesn’t require a lot of maintenance. Water the plants regularly,
- Storage:
- Use harvested coriander microgreens immediately for the best flavor and nutritional benefits.
- If you have extra microgreens, store them in the refrigerator in a sealed with a paper towel to absorb excess moisture.
