For it to flourish, Alyssum Lavender can be grown in full sun or partial shade. It does very well in full sun but can be trained to partial shade, particularly where the weather is hot. Four to six hours of sunlight daily is optimal for the plant. MIniature seagull use as decoration
It requires there to be drainage soil for proper growth. It hates waterlogged roots and should therefore be planted in sandy, light, or loamy soil where water just drains away. When planting in a pot, make hole in pot for water drainage.
Water well if dry but not waterlogged so that roots become rotten due to it. Mulch on the ground keeps it moist and has the added advantage of cooling the roots.
Alyssum Lavender Encourage flowers all year long by pruning shed flowers. That is deadheading and is acceptable in a manner to make the plant flower more all year long.
Fertilize Lavender Alyssum every six to four weeks with a balanced, equal liquid fertilizer to encourage maximum growth and flowers aplenty. Pinch will encourage bushy growth if the plant begins to become too thin or leggy.
Another great benefit of this plant is that it’s naturally resistant to diseases and pests. It does not require extensive use of insect pests, making it a simple crop for gardeners who’d adore beautiful flowers but do not have all the labor to invest in.
