- Sow the Seeds – Sow the pelleted seeds on the ground. Do not cover them, since Mimulus seeds need light to germinate.
- Water Diplomatically – Spritz the ground gently to give it moisture but do not waterlog. Use a fine can or spray bottle so as not to joggle the seeds.
- Keep Warm – Deliver 65-75°F (18-24°C) soil temperature to achieve maximum germination.
Mimulus seeds Nurture the Seedlings
- Seedlings will surface in 7-14 days. When it does, merely employ these basic steps to maximize healthy growth:
- Keep Humus Soil – Mimulus likes wet soil, so water often but never waterlogged.
- Give Light – Indoor cultivation necessitates the seedlings in front of a sunny window or with grow lights.
- Thin when needed – If the seedlings are too close together, gently remove some of them to give each plant sufficient space.
