First, gather your supplies. You will be working with Astrophytum V-type seeds, drainage cactus potting mix, a shallow pan, and a spray bottle. After you have all of your supplies, soak the seeds in warm water for 6–12 hours. This will soften the seed coat and stimulate germination.

Do not cover them since they need light to grow. Instead, press them down into the soil. Second, mist the soil with water so that it will be damp.

Within a couple of months, the seedlings will be potable. Pot them on separately into their own pots in individual draining compost. Water sparingly and keep them in bright, indirect light. On acclimatizing, they will start to develop into their usual star shape also.
