- Provide Heat and Light – Optimal temperature for petunia seed germination is 70–75°F (21–24°C). Give them grow lights or a sun window.
- Wait It Out – Germination will take 7–14 days. Once seedlings have germinated, keep giving them light and water.
- Once the seedlings have produced their first true leaves, it’s time to tend to them.
- Thin the Seedlings – If there were other seeds that germinated too close, take out the weaker seedlings so that the stronger ones have enough room to grow.
- Transplanting – Transplant the petunias into larger pots or directly into the garden when they are 2–3 inches tall.
