- Sow in a seed tray using fine, free-draining compost.
- Carefully place the pelleted seeds on the soil surface. Don’t plant them because they need light to germinate.
- Place the tray under grow lights or a sun window.
- Keep the temperature at 70°F (21°C) day and 60°F (16°C) night.
- Cover the tray with a humidity dome or plastic wrap to keep it from drying out.
- Firstly Spray the soil with a fine spray of water.
- Don’t water too much, and it will rot.
- Let the soil get moist but not damp.
4. Germination Wait
- Lisianthus seeds germinate between 10–20 days.
- Don’t rush and keep providing heat and light.
- When the seedlings are large enough, remove the plastic wrap and provide strong light for 12–16 hours daily.
- Transplant them in pots when the seedlings develop two or three sets of leaves.
- Plant them softly in draining potting soil and plant them without hurting their roots.
- About a week to ten days before outdoor planting, harden off the seedlings gradually outdoors.
- Take them outside for several hours a day, gradually increasing the number of hours each day.
- First, shield them from the sun and wind.
- Plant in a sunny spot with draining soil.
- Space 6 to 8 inches apart for ideal air circulation.
- Moist, not wet, soil.
8. Lisianthus Voyage 2 Apricot Care
- Water regularly but with some ability to dry out before being watered again.
- Fertilize every two weeks using liquid balanced plant food.
