Godetia prefers to grow in cold weather, and therefore it is advisable to sow seeds in winter or early spring. October to January is the best time to sow godetia seeds in India. This way, the plant is given an opportunity to grow during favorable weather conditions before hot weather arrives in the summer season.

Godetia likes cooler locations such as hill stations (Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Karnataka region, etc.).
