How to Seed (Cold Stratification Required)

• Echinacea Cheyenne Soak Paper Towel: Wet paper towel but no drip.
• Add Seeds: Put Echinacea seeds on a wet paper towel.
• Seal & Keep: Place seeds on a towel, and seal them in a container or plastic bag.
• Refrigerate: Store in refrigerator for 4–6 weeks (35–40°F / 1–4°C).
• Weekly Check: Dip towel a little wet, but no drip.

• Indoors (Best If Begun Early)
• Echinacea Cheyenne Time: Sow seeds 8–10 weeks prior to the last frost.
• Soil: Sow in well-draining compost for light-textured seeds.
• Planting: Sow seeds on the surface and top with a very thin layer of compost.
• Water: Water compost as usual but never waterlogged.
• Light & Heat: Remain in light position at 65–70°F (18–21°C).
• Sprouting: Seeds will be 10–20 days shy of germinating when given cold treatment.
• Repotting: Repot seedlings outdoors after the danger of frost has passed.
