- At 2 to 3 in./5 to 8 cm, Coronet’s blooms are larger than the competition, plus it offers uniform flowering time and habit.
- Produces multiple flowers on a compact, mounded plant.
- Gives its best performance in cool weather, making it great planted along with other cool-season annuals such as pansies.
Brighten color bowls and gardens with this mix of Cherry Red, Rose, Strawberry, and White. Huge flower size and uniformity make it the best choice in this class of dianthus.
Dianthus Coronet Grows easily from seed but takes a long time to mature, so they should be started early indoors about 10 to 12 weeks before the last frost date. Press seeds into the surface of the soil and cover to their thickness, as darkness is required for germination. Covering the pots with black plastic is a good idea. Keep the planting medium damp, and once the seeds have sprouted, (about 14 days at 70 degrees F.) Move them to a greenhouse.
