Cosmos Cosmic Red Growing from Seed
- Indoor: Plant seeds 4–6 weeks before the last frost date for earliest flowering.
- Outside: Sow ground after the last frost when the soil is warm.
- Firstly Put pans or seed pots into loose, sunny ground.
- Plant seeds ¼ inch (6 mm) deep and cover thinly.
- Water to moisten but do not soak the ground.
- Put in a warm, sunny spot (65–75°F / 18–24°C).
- Seeds will germinate in 7–10 days.
- Harden off seedlings and put out when two leaf sets have formed.
Sowing Seeds Outside
- Finally Cosmos Cosmic Red Plant seeds ¼ inch (6 mm) deep into the ground and press in lightly with dusting with soil.
- Water lightly and maintain soil moisture at all times until seedlings emerge.
- Thin seedlings to 12 inches (30 cm) apart if seedlings are over this.
