Balsam White Violet requires sun or half light. Select a position with rich, well-draining soil. If the soil is heavy clay or heavy, incorporate compost into the soil to provide drainage and nutrients.

Balsam seeds are small but not fragile. Soak the seeds in warm water for several hours to improve germination before planting. This will split the seed coat and trigger germination in a few days.
