Selecting a Healthy Bulb
Amaryllis Splash Select a firm, fleshy bulb with no mold or damage.
- Planting for Best Development
- Employ good-draining compost and draining pot.
- Bulb to the third from top exposed above compost level.
- Sit in warm, sunny position with indirect light.
- Keep at (25–35°C) for best development.

Amaryllis Splash Watering and Feeding
Water very sparingly initially, allowing the compost to dry slightly between waterings.
Watering regularly when the stem begins to grow but not so wet that the soil becomes waterlogged.
If the soil is waterlogged, root rot can occur, so provide good drainage.
Amaryllis Splash Liquid feed with an even feed every two or three weeks when growing.
Supporting Tall Stems
Tall stems will be top-heavy and need supporting.
- Use a stake if needed to support the stems.
- Gentle support of the stems preserves the appearance of the flowers.
Amaryllis Splash Post-Bloom Care
- Cut the stem of the flower close to the base after the flower has faded.
- Leave the green leaves intact to conserve energy for the second blooming period.
- Water and fertilize regularly until the yellowing of leaves occurs naturally.
Encouraging Reblooming
Cut back on watering and allow the bulb to rest in a warm, dry location in order to regain strength for 8–10 weeks.
During dormancy, re-plant the bulb into new soil and continue care.
