Chilli plants to decorate adore the sun! They need full sun minimum of 6 hours a day. If indoors, put them near a south window. Too little light and they won’t develop well, forming fewer peppers.

These should be watered frequently, but the soil should never become too wet. Water only when the surface of the soil is dry. In summer, it may be every 2–3 days, but in winter months, it should be kept to a minimum. Use well-draining soil throughout to prevent root rot. Miniature Monk good for decoration.

For optimum growth, sow in loose and well-draining soil rich with nutrients. A garden soil mixture of compost and sand is a good combination. With container growing, ensure that the pot has drainage holes to prevent water accumulation.

Ornamental chilies love 70–85°F (21–29°C) heat. There will be some chill tolerated but less than 50°F (10°C) will retard growth. If your area is cold, winter the plant indoors.

To have healthy plants and colorful peppers, feed your ornamental chili with a balanced liquid plant food every 2–3 weeks during cultivation. Excessive fertilization will result in too much nitrogen, and your plant will produce a lot of leaves but fewer peppers.

Regular pruning bushes the plant and causes it to bear more chilies. Eliminate dead leaves and weak growths to avoid any unhealthy development. If the plant becomes too tall, top-prune to bush it.

Overwatering: The cause of yellow leaves and root rot. Let the soil dry slightly between watering.

Pests: Spider mites, whiteflies, and aphids are common problems. Use neem oil for pesitiside.

Lack of Sunlight: With minimal light, the plant can become gigantic but yield little or no peppers.

Harvesting

Colored fancy chilies turn color after ripening. You will harvest them in their final colors. The higher the harvesting rates, the higher the pepper yields per plant.
