How to Plant Kanthari Chilli Seeds
Chilli Kanthari or Bird’s Eye Chilli is a hot and pungent pepper, which is cultivated in huge quantities in India. It is small and hot but great to use in the kitchen. It is easy to plant Chilli seeds if you know the process.

Choosing the Right Seeds
First, select fresh and healthy Kanthari Chilli seeds. Seeds can be derived from red ripe chillies or bought at a nursery shop. The seeds should be dry and free of mold before planting.
Best Time to Plant
Kanthari Chilli likes warm weather. Sowing the seeds in early summer or spring would be perfect. Under the tropics, it can be grown throughout the year.
Preparing the Soil
Secondly Chilli plants are grown in well-drained fertile soil. Incorporate compost or organic manure into the garden soil and broadcast the seeds before sowing. Sow with slightly damp but not waterlogged soil.

- Watering Water the plant regularly but never water so much that the soil becomes soggy. Too much water will rot the roots.
- Sunlight Kanthari Chilli should receive a minimum of 6 to 8 hours of sunshine daily. Keep the pot outside in the garden or in a sunlit position.
- Fertilization Provide organic manure or compost to the plant fortnightly. This will ensure that the plant grows in a healthy and strong manner.
- Transplantation Transplant the seedlings that are around 6 inches tall in a bigger pot or directly into the soil. Plant with enough space of at least 12 inches between them.Can grow in plastic white pot
Pruning and Care

When Will the Plant Bear Chillies?
Kanthari Chilli plants yield chillies after 2 to 3 months. Chillies will be green initially, thereafter white before it becomes red as and when they ripe.
